Casting Lessons
Whether you have been fishing for years, or you just picked up a fly rod for the first time, lessons can be tailored to fit your skill level!
Work on general technique, distance and accuracy, or prepare for an upcoming trip.

Wade Trips
Wade trips on the Brazos River give clients an opportunity to experience exciting fishing while standing in clear, beautiful, knee deep water.
With 6 private access points close by there is the chance to fish completely different structure and substrates while only having to travel down the road.
With half and full day opportunities you can experience an array of what the Brazos and other local streams around Glen Rose have to offer.
$300-350+ /person
Floats
Enjoy time on the water while fishing from the front of a raft, taking in the scenery the Brazos river has to offer.
Float trips offer accessibility to water that does not get fished, and also offers a great display of fish activity while sitting above the water casting at fish and watching them chase down your fly.
Half and full day floats are available, as well as overnight floats.

I’m Mitch Kempe.
Full time husband, full time girl dad, full time fly guide.
Born and raised in Texas, I love fishing our local water.
I first picked up a fly rod when I went to Colorado when I was 15 and I was hooked. Once I brought fly fishing back to my local water, the real fun started. My favorite part of being a full-time guide is having the opportunity to watch how excited people get when they set the hook on a fish, which reminds me of why I fell in love with the quiet sport in the first place. When I’m not running guided trips, you can usually find me chasing carp up and down the Brazos or at home with my amazing wife and his three beautiful daughters.
